Bell Peppers

Bell Peppers

Wed, July 9th, 2025

Dear Ole Tyme Customers:

Green bell pepper supplies remain tight on the East Coast due to weather delays in North Carolina and a slow start in New Jersey. California’s production is declining, with new regions like Fresno and Oxnard expected to ramp up mid-July. Mexico is contributing only light volume into Texas.

Red bell peppers are also limited. California’s Imperial Valley finished early due to heat, with Bakersfield now starting. Mexico and Canada are supplying minimal volume due to weather-related challenges.

Key Takeaways:

  • Green bell shortages continue on the East Coast; Michigan and Ohio may bring small relief soon.
  • Red bell availability is low across all regions.
  • Expect elevated pricing for both red and green bells in the near term.

If you have any questions, please reach out to your Sales Representative.

Thanks,
