Dear Ole Tyme Customers:

Broccoli supplies remain limited due to abnormal weather patterns during the Yuma, AZ and Imperial Valley, CA growing seasons, resulting in reduced availability. Overall quality remains good; however, some fields are showing pin rot and yellowing. These issues are being actively avoided at harvest. Pricing is expected to remain elevated through February.

Expectations:

Suppliers will closely monitor volumes over the next several weeks to manage ongoing shortages of broccoli (both field pack and florets).
Santa Maria production is in better condition and may serve as an alternative option, particularly for West Coast demand.
Mexican supplies are showing improved quality due to warm, dry growing conditions. Mexican pricing is expected to rise to align with West Coast markets.
