Dear Ole Tyme Customers:

Broccoli and cauliflower markets are currently facing tight supply, leading to elevated pricing and limited availability across both field-pack and floret products. The seasonal transition from the desert growing regions to Salinas, combined with early harvesting, has created a supply gap that is expected to take several weeks to fully recover.

Unseasonably warm weather throughout March accelerated crop maturity, pulling volumes forward and creating a short-term production shortfall. Additionally, March heat followed by April rains has resulted in quality challenges, including insect pressure, uneven sizing, and overall condition concerns.

As a result, customers should anticipate continued strong markets and potential supply limitations in the near term, until the Salinas growing region stabilizes and production returns to normal levels.
