Dear Ole Tyme Customers:

Celery supplies remain limited as the industry continues to battle ongoing disease pressure and reduced acreage out of the Oxnard growing region.
Quality challenges are expected to persist through the remainder of the Oxnard season into early June, keeping yields below normal.
While demand has eased somewhat following the Mother’s Day pull, overall supplies remain tight due to reduced plantings and ongoing disease issues impacting production.
Markets are beginning to soften gradually, with prices slowly coming down, but values are expected to remain elevated until Salinas production gains momentum.
Overall availability will remain snug through the near term despite the slight easing in demand.
