Dear Ole Tyme Customers:

Green onion production remains very lean as we move through the tail end of the summer Plantings in Mexico. Prolonged high heat in Baja continues to impact yields and sizing, with a heavier percentage of smaller onions being harvested. Quality remains fair to good given the challenging growing conditions, but supplies are expected to remain tight over the next several weeks.

The market continues to run high due to limited supply, steady demand, and reduced availability of larger sizes. Weather will remain an important factor, as potential monsoonal activity could create additional challenges with field conditions, harvest schedules, transportation, and labor. We will continue to closely monitor weather, labor, yields, and sizing and will keep you informed of any significant changes.
