Dear Ole Tyme Customers:

Supply remains tight across all three commodities, with demand continuing to exceed availability in the Salinas Valley.

Iceberg Lettuce:
The market is under heavy pressure as fields are being impacted by Sclerotinia, resulting in reduced yields and lighter harvests. At the same time, processors are actively purchasing open market acreage to offset their own shortages, further limiting availability for the fresh market. This has created an extremely constrained supply situation, and we anticipate ongoing volatility in both pricing and supply in the near term.

Broccoli & Cauliflower:
Supplies for both items are very limited due to recent cooler temperatures and weekend rain disruptions. These conditions have slowed crop development and delayed harvests, leading to reduced yields and tighter overall supply. Demand remains strong, keeping markets firm.

Logistics Insight:
Positioning trucks into Santa Maria may offer slightly better availability compared to other regions, though supplies there are still below typical levels.

Outlook:
Expect continued tight supplies and elevated markets across Iceberg, Broccoli, and Cauliflower in the near term, with little relief anticipated until weather conditions improve and production stabilizes.
