Insect Pressure

Insect Pressure

Wed, June 4th, 2025

Dear Ole Tyme Customers:

  • Affecting multiple crops
    • Warmer temps have led to increased populations of aphids, thrips, small flies, and gnats.
    • Thrips are particularly concerning as they transmit INSV (Invasive Necrotic Spot Virus).
    • Some INSV signs are appearing, though it's not widespread yet.
    • Growers are actively mitigating with traps, repellents, and increased field inspections.

If you have any questions, please reach out to your Sales Representative.

Thanks,

Ole Tyme Produce
