Mushrooms

Dear Ole Tyme Customers:

The mushroom market is currently experiencing a supply shortage across the Western, Eastern, and Canadian growing regions. Summer growing conditions have created challenges for growers, with suppliers reporting weak compost, which has impacted production and overall yields. Supply remained relatively stable until yesterday, when availability declined significantly, resulting in deeper prorates than anticipated.

The market is expected to remain tight for the remainder of the month industry wide.

Items Affected

  • White Mushrooms
  • Brown Mushrooms

What to Expect

  • Limited availability across all growing regions
  • Potential prorates on orders
  • Short-term supply shortages over the month of August

If you have any questions, please reach out to your Sales Representative.

Thanks,
