Romaine supplies in the Salinas Valley continue to tighten as ongoing slow growth conditions limit production for both field-packed and processed product.

Demand has recently shifted from Iceberg lettuce to romaine, adding further strain to an already constrained market. Seeder-related issues are expected to persist over the next couple of weeks, continuing to impact yields and keep supplies limited, with elevated market conditions likely to remain in place.
