Dear Ole Tyme Customers:
Iceberg lettuce prices are up sharply after rain in Salinas Valley disrupted harvesting. Muddy fields and early cutting to avoid quality issues are leading to lower yields and lighter weights. Warmer weather is expected to increase disease pressure, especially INSV and Sclerotinia, further tightening supply in the coming weeks.
Brassica crops (Broccoli, Cauliflower, Cabbage, Brussels Sprouts) continue to face challenges from Diamondback Moth infestations, resulting in reduced yields and ongoing quality concerns.
If you have any questions, please reach out to your Sales Representative.
Thanks,
Ole Tyme Produce
