Dear Ole Tyme Customers:

Supplies are tightening across the industry after unseasonably warm weather accelerated production by about two weeks in all growing regions. While harvest volumes are near normal this week, availability is expected to decline significantly starting the week of 2/9, with very light supplies projected through 2/16 and 2/23. Growers are relying mainly on recut fields with limited first-cut volume available.

Conditions should gradually improve in March as harvest schedules normalize; however, full volume recovery will take additional time due to fewer secondary and tertiary cuts. With desert production also running early and finishing ahead of schedule, the market is expected to remain tight for the next several weeks.
