Dear Ole Tyme Customers:
Florida tomato production is declining due to recent cold weather, tightening supplies and increasing demand for Mexican-grown tomatoes, which is driving prices higher.
- Rounds: Florida cold is slowing growth and reducing availability. Larger sizes (4×5, 5×5) are most available, while 5×6 sizes are especially tight.
- Romas: Cold conditions are limiting Florida volume and delaying Mexico’s peak production. Larger sizes are most abundant with good quality.
- Grape & Cherry: Low temperatures have reduced Florida production, and Central Mexico supplies are expected to remain limited through January.
Outlook: Higher markets are expected over the next two weeks, with limited supply and strong eastern demand shifting to the Nogales and McAllen regions.

Thanks,
