Dear Ole Tyme Customers:

Costa Rican shippers are facing tight supplies and high demand for crownless pineapples.

Crownless pineapples are in short supply due to labor, sizing needs, and shipping delays.
Weather issues have impacted fruit development, especially larger sizes.
European demand is drawing volume away from the U.S. market.
Pineapples take 18 months to grow, limiting short-term supply solutions.

What to Expect:

Prices are rising and changing daily.
Contracts are prioritized; no new ones are being accepted for now.
Substitution with crowned pineapples may be necessary.
Mexican pineapples are a possible alternative.
