Lime

Fri, Oct 10th, 2025

Dear Ole Tyme Customers:

The lime market remains active as weather conditions in Mexico continue to impact harvest and supply:

  • Rainfall in Veracruz is slowing fieldwork, leading to tighter availability expected next week.
  • Crossings through McAllen, TX are lighter due to weather-related delays. Moisture is causing some exterior defects, though newer harvests are showing better quality.
  • Most incoming fruit is smaller-sized (200s and 230s), with limited availability of larger sizes. If volume continues to decline, a price increase is likely.
  • Colombian limes shipping from Florida remain steady with good quality, but ongoing storm activity may affect picking and transportation schedules.

Market Outlook:

  • Expect the lime market to firm up next week due to tightening supply and weather disruptions.
