Strawberries
Tues, Nov 18th, 2025
Dear Ole Tyme Customers:
As forecasted, a prolonged 4-day rain event moved through California from 11/13/2025 to 11/17/2025, dropping up to 6 inches of rain in some areas and setting a new record for the month of November. These storms have had a significant impact on the Santa Maria and Oxnard strawberry regions.
Large portions of several ranches are now under standing water, and all growing areas are experiencing heavy soil saturation. Growers will need several days to clean up fields and allow the ground to dry. At this time, California harvest potential for the week remains highly uncertain, and many growers are reporting no major production for the next 7–10 days. Another weather system is expected to arrive on Thursday, 11/20, which may create additional delays.
Because of this, cuts and reduced fill rates are expected through the end of the week.
If you have any questions, please reach out to your Sales Representative.
Thanks,
Ole Tyme Produce
