Yuma Weather & Transition

Yuma Weather & Transition

Mon, March 9th, 2026

Dear Ole Tyme Customers:

Showers moved into the Yuma growing region this morning, with steady rain expected to continue through the afternoon. Following the rainfall, temperatures are forecast to rise quickly by midweek, reaching the upper 90s, with triple-digit heat expected throughout next week.

These rapid weather swings are likely to increase mildew and insect pressure across the Yuma Valley. With many fields already running ahead of schedule, additional supply gaps are possible before the seasonal transition north to Salinas begins.

The transition for some commodities is expected to begin in late March and continue into early April, which may create short-term availability challenges as production shifts between growing regions.

If you have any questions, please reach out to your Sales Representative.

Thanks,
